Real Focus Therapy - Your Life, Reimagined

Prior to working as a psychotherapist, I had a 17 year career in television. Following divorce, I found myself financially insecure, in a job with long and unpredictable hours and with two small children to care for. I experienced some real low points. It was working through these, and other challenges, that led me to retrain as a therapist.

I now provide therapy to individuals, couples and trainee counsellors and have an interest in relationship issues, work-related stress and anxiety. I welcome all, and aspire to offer a warm, non-judgemental, safe space where my clients can be themselves.

My specialist area is working alongside TV production companies providing psychological support services. Having worked in the field, I understand programme making, its demands and the stresses that working in the industry can bring.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and hold an MSc (Master of Science) in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

In addition to my private practice, I work for an NHS partnered service as an IAPT Counsellor.  I have also worked voluntarily with couples and  individuals for a local relationship charity.

I thoroughly enjoy my work and feel passionately that talking therapies help to improve mental health and personal growth.
